Adult Co-ed Volleyball - operates on Sunday evenings starting at 7:00 p.m. in the LRHS Gym.  This program runs throughout the fall, winter and spring programme periods.

Open Badminton - operates on Monday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. in the LRHS Gym.  The program runs throughout the fall and winter programme periods.

Crib Tournaments - held weekly on Thursdays starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Recreation Centre.

Fun Time for children in grades Primary to Three takes place on Tuesday evenings in the LRHS Gym from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  The program takes place throughout the fall, winter and part of the spring programme periods.

Fun Time for children in grades Four to Six takes place on Wednesday evenings in the LRHS Gym from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The program takes place throughout the fall, winter and part of the spring programme periods.

Adult Basketball takes place on Wednesday evenings in the LRHS Gym starting at 8:00 p.m.  The program takes place throughout the fall,winter and part of the spring programme periods.

Seniors Exercise & Wellness - held at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays in the Recreation Centre.  This program is provided in conjunction with South West Shore Volunteer Services.

Coffee Houses are held every three weeks on Friday nights in the Recreation Centre.  The program takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and features entertainment by local musicians and entertainers (sometimes Karaoke).

Minor Basketball is held once weekly for one and a half to two hours each week during the winter program for nine to twelve weeks.  The program takes place in the LRHS Gymnasium, usually on Friday afternoons or Saturdays.

March Break Program is held each year during the school break in March.  This program varies slightly from one year to the next but is typically based in the Recreation Centre.

After School Program is held at various times when resources (particularly leadership) are available.  This program varies slightly from one year to the next but is typically based in the Recreation Centre.

Spring Leaders' Camp is held each year on the last weekend in May.  For the past two years this program has been held at Camp Avalon and stresses outdoor leadership training.

Summer Day-Camps are held for eight weeks each summer.  The Day-Camps run all day from Monday to Friday and are based at the Recreation Centre.  Each week has a different theme but all include daily physical activity and contact with nature.

Lockeport & Area July 1st Celebrations annually take place over a period of roughly ten days.  A complete schedule of events is published each year for this festival.

TimBits Soccer is held annually for eight to ten weeks in the spring.  The program is generally held on Wednesday evenings and is open to children up to and including Grade 3.

Roods Head Park Party is held annually and features a day of music and entertainment in the park.

The above listing is for annual programming of the Lockeport Recreation Department.  This list is not complete as it does not include the many activities and events which we provide from time to time.  We are often called upon by groups in the community for assistance with current projects and we respond according to the specific circumstances at the time.

This department is also an active partner in most county-wide initiatives including but not limited to Shelburne County Lobster Festival, "Our Community-Something for Everyone", eastern Shelburne County Volunteer Reception, Shelburne County Special Olympics, Shelburne County Senior Games, and "Take the Roof Off Winter".
