My grandmother Mabel Elaine Locke Dewolfe was the daughter of Minnie and Jonathan Locke. I have visited Lockport on a couple of occasions and have enjoyed the museum. It brought a smile to my face to see a photo of my grandmother in the museum...as a young girl sitting at her school desk. I had sent my grandmothers wedding dress to be donated to the museum via my brother Thomas when he was visiting Lockeport. I am just curious of I could receive a photo if it is still in the musuem. I would like to share the story of Lockeport etc. with my granddaughter Thank you for your time. It is my hope to visit Lockeport again soon and walk Crescent Beach where my grandmother placed as a young girl.

We would like to offer a trip onboard "Brown Eyed Girl" to Lockeport from Shelburne on Wednesday, June 30th departing the Shelburne Marina at 12 noon arriving at the Lockeport Wharf at 3 pm. We would also like to offer a trip from Lockeport Wharf to Shelburne on Friday, July 2nd departing Lockeport at 9 am. The cost would be $20.00/person. Especially great trip if you have never sailed into Lockeport or Shelburne by boat. We may even see a whale! We guarantee you will see seals and lots of sea ducks. Bring a cooler with your favorite drink and lunch. SEE YOU ONBOARD!! |

Sheila Broughm - As it looks right now, Harmony Bazaar will be held July 22 - 24 in 2011 and the Lockeport Sea Derby will be held August 12 - 14 in 2011. I along with my cousin have just started planning a Broughm Family Reunion for August 2011.Of course we want in held in Lockeport for many reason but mainly because we all remember Ruby and Ross ( our grandparents) and the beach. I was hoping to find out some information in regards to the Fishing Derby dates for that year. Also any other festivals, special sites or events that are being planned to summer 2011. I know that it is over a year but the decision was just made this past week to have a reunion. Many will be traveling from away and would like to make it part of their vacations.It will take us a year to coordinated this event.
Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer it is greatly appreciated.
